White House Blames ‘Wind’ For Biden Falling Repeatedly On Staircase

After President Biden stumbled multiple times while attempting to climb up the staircase to Airforce One, White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre suggested that he fell because “it’s very windy.”
“It’s pretty windy outside,” Jean-Pierre said after the incident, reports the New York Times. “It’s very windy. I almost fell coming up the steps myself. He is doing 100 percent fine.”
According to a tweet from White House Communications Director Kate Beddingfield, Biden was not injured during the incident.
“I know folks have seen that President Biden slipped on his way up the stairs to AF1, but I’m happy to report that he is just fine and did not even require any attention from the medical team who travels with him,” she said. “Nothing more than a misstep on the stairs.”

Last September, Biden mocked then-President Trump for walking slowly down a ramp, saying at the time, “Watch how I run up ramps and he stumbles down ramps. OK? Come on,” Biden said last September.
Trump, who, in contrast to Biden, was able to successfully finish the descent without falling even once, defended slow pace in a tweet after the event.
“The ramp that I descended after my West Point Commencement speech was very long & steep, had no handrail and, most importantly, was very slippery,” Trump wrote. “The last thing I was going to do is ‘fall’ for the Fake News to have fun with. Final ten feet I ran down to level ground. Momentum!”

I feel bad for Plugs- he’s an elderly man showing his age. There’s many 78 yr olds that are “younger” than he is. He never should’ve tried trotting up those steps. Take your time, Joe, and don’t give anyone fodder for your missteps.
