VIDEO: Prominent Democrats Only Put on Masks When Media Arrive at 9/11 Ceremonies

A video is circulating the internet showing a group of prominent Democrats doing what they do best: being absolutely, unambiguously, hypocritical. Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Jerry Nadler (D-NY), Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Governor Kathy Hochul were closely chatting in a large group without masks…until the media showed up for picture time.

Twitter user @AnthonyDeWitt7 posted the video with the caption, “!!BREAKING NEWS!! @AOC @SpeakerPelosi @JerryNadler @KathyHochul and dozens of other democrats seen in New York City around hundreds WITHOUT MASKS ON before news media and cameras showed up. Their hypocrisy is disgusting and must be exposed!! Rules for thee but not for me!!”

When cameras and reporters show up, however, virtually the entire group swiftly puts their masks on to pose for the photo-op. The scenario took place over the weekend as various ceremonies and memorials dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks took place around New York City.

Many family members and survivors of the 9/11 attacks publicly expressed they did not want President Biden to visit ground zero or New York City due to the failed withdrawal from Afghanistan, “ending” a 20-year-war that began after the United States was attacked in 2001.

Biden, along with former Presidents and first ladies, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barack and Michelle Obama, joined House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) at an annual 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony at the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum on Saturday, September 11, 2021. In the photo, the prominent Democrats wore masks while standing for the national anthem.

Former President Donald Trump also visited New York Police Department and New York Fire Department precincts on the 9/11 anniversary. Trump was greeted with cheers and applause, as well as addressed the botched Biden troop withdrawal from Afghanistan. “It was gross incompetence and I hate to talk about it on this day” said Trump.
