Trump tears AFTRA a new one
“Your organization has done little for its members, and nothing for me.”
After the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists board voted “overwhelmingly” to oust Donald Trump as a member, the former president had a few things to say.
“I write to you today regarding the so-called Disciplinary Committee hearing aimed at revoking my union membership,” Trump wrote in a letter to SAG President Gabrielle Carteris. “Who cares!”

“While I’m not familiar with your work,” he added, “I’m very proud of my work on movies such as Home Alone 2, Zoolander and Wall Street: Money Never sleeps; and television shows including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Saturday Night Live, and of course, one of the most successful shows in television history, The Apprentice – to name just a few!”
Trump said he has “also greatly helped the cable news television business (said to be a dying platform with not much time left until I got involved in politics), and created thousands of jobs at networks such as MSDNC and Fake News CNN, among many others.”
“Which brings me to your blatant attempt at free media attention to distract from your dismal record as a union,” he continued. “Your organization has done little for its members, and nothing for me – besides collecting dues and promoting dangerous un-American policies and ideas – as evident by your massive unemployment rates and lawsuits from celebrated actors who even recorded a video asking, ‘Why isn’t the union fighting for me?’”
The video referenced was posted last year by actors like Whoopi Goldberg and Morgan Freeman, among others, who blasted the union’s health plan benefit cuts, Fox News reports.
“I no longer wish to be associated with your union,” Trump noted. “As such, this letter is to inform you of my immediate resigning from SAG-AFTRA.”
He went out with a bang: “You have done nothing for me.”
The board voted to expel Trump’s membership from the union following the Capitol riot on January 6.
“Donald Trump attacked the values that this union holds most sacred – democracy, truth, respect for our fellow Americans of all races and faiths, and the sanctity of the free press,” Carteris said last month. “There’s a straight line from his wanton disregard for the truth to the attacks on journalists perpetrated by his followers.”
Trump has been a member of SAG since 1989, but made it clear he won’t miss his membership too much.

President Trump is not the one who created this mess – four years ago when he was cleaning up the swamp -the swamp didn’t like that – they just wanted to remain their old stupid corrupt self! and half the country fell for it and still do! Trump has every right to defend himself yet he gets put down for it. who made these hollyweirdoes so important that they can say anything they want to a man who did a great job running this country – the media, the left, the so called stars are all in bed together! shame on them and you know what paybacks are tough and I do hope Trump does get even! He is the real president

Perfectly said! I totally agree. My President is greatly missed and it is sickening and frightful to see what is happening with Biden reversing decisions President Trump made and killing jobs. This union is as you say, in bed with the Biden administration. President Trump will stand strong and tall through it all.

There is a saying “one fool makes many” …. One idiot does something and gets on the news for 15 seconds and every idiot follows suit because they are after the publicity. We see this happen in politics, the media, Hollyweird and in our educational system and what is mind-numbing about most of these actions is that they are stupid, hateful, serve no useful purpose in the larger scheme and some are even unconstitional…. Good on President Trump to rip them a new one…
