Texas Gov Abbott Announces Down Payment On Border Wall
As President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have seemingly abandoned the border crisis, Republican governors have accepted they need to find a way to make up for the Biden administration’s incompetency, with Texas Governor Greg Abbott announcing on Wednesday that the state is making a down payment on building a border wall.
In a letter to Bryan Collier, Executive Director of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Abbott directed the “transfer [of] $250 million in General Revenue to the Disaster Fund within the Trusteed Programs within the Office of the Governor” for “a down payment to begin design and construction of physical barriers on voluntarily donated private and public lands that border this state and Mexico.”
During a press conference, Abbott discussed the decision, saying, “The problems along the border are only getting worse due to President Biden’s inaction.”
“Property is being destroyed, deadly drugs and illegal weapons are being smuggled into communities throughout the state, law enforcement is having to redirect their resources, and county judges and mayors are facing skyrocketing expenses,” Abbott continued. “Texas is doing more than any state has ever done to protect the border, but it is clear that more is needed.”
Among the many border security measures eliminated by President Biden, he froze funding for the border wall quickly after entering office. Biden’s policies have resulted in record immigration levels, breaking 20-year records in March, April, and May.
“In the Biden administration’s absence, Texas is stepping up to get the job done by building the border wall. Through this comprehensive public safety effort, we will secure the border, slow the influx of unlawful immigrants, and restore order in our border communities,” Abbott added.

Does this mean there will be double fence when President Trump is re-elected in 2024, and finishes his wall?
This problem is just another conundrum spawned by Biden and the DNC.

Hope other Border States jump on the bandwagon and get the wall built since Dementia Joe is NOT going to do it or stop the flood of Illegals coming in ! Hopefully some construction companies will get on board and donate the manpower and expertise to get it done !

Thank God someone is standing up to this invasion of the United States.
I have personally helped a family secure W-7’s to dwell and work, and go to school in this country.
We as a nation have 40 million +- foreign born residents in this country, ALL of whom are looking for opportunity.
That’s how this country was founded, as most original settlers looked to escape European religious and free expression.
This should remain a land of opportunity and safety-not a land of restriction of freedoms and destruction of life and liberty.

If we are to continue as a country, how are we to do it with what we have in office right now? We have to get President Trump back in the White House.

Wunderbar, dear, conservative Governor Abbott! Texas and the rest of the nation are so very lucky to have you! Also, that goes for Governor Desantis! You both are smart, caring, and devoted to this wonderful, but beaten-down country by moronic, hateful, EVIL people now in charge ( only through fraud) of destroying our country. God bless you both, and all conservative governors–that does not include Kemp of Georgia, who needs to join the Democratic party, along with Romney, Cheney, etc.

God bless America, land that I LOVE;
Stand beside her, and guide her
Through the night with the light from above.
I pray for this and for our beloved REAL President Donald J. Trump, and for Leo Terrell, who has become a true conservative. Leo, I never miss your appearances on Fox. Keep up the great work!

I agree, I would donate as well, perhaps something like a “Go Fund Me” page to raise the money, I’m amazed at how quickly people raise money this way
