Rep. Cori Bush: I Have Private Security For Protection, So ‘Suck It Up And Defund The Police’ (VIDEO)
During a CBS News interview on Thursday, Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) said that “defunding the police has to happen,” and that those who have a problem with her private security should just “suck it up” because she needs security for protection from those that would break the law by making an “attempt on [her] life.”
“I’m going to make sure I have security because I know I have had attempts on my life and I have too much work to do,” Bush said. “There are too many people that need help right now for me to allow that. So, if I end up spending $200,000, if I spend $10 more dollars on it, you know what, I get to be here to do the work.”
“So, suck it up and defunding the police has to happen,” Bush added. “We need to defund the police and put that money into social safety nets.”
“You faced some criticism in recent weeks over your push to defund the police,” a CBS News host said. “Campaign records show that you spent roughly $70,000 on private security, and some critics say that move is hypocritical. What’s your response to those critics?
Bush’s comments come after she denounced a Bipartisan group of lawmakers for the color of their skin.
“Is this the Bipartisan Infrastructure Group or the audience at a Kid Rock concert?” Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) tweeted, adding, “#NegotiationsSoWhite.”
Bush’s judgement of the group based off of their skin color came so a month before the anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech.
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character,” King said at the time.

if she is fearful that someone is trying to make an attempt to harm her or her family, why doesn’t she get the FBI or DC police involved. If she’s receiving threatening texts, emails or communication she needs to report it. I’d also like to tell Ms. Bush: sweetie, we do judge on character & not color of skin, perhaps it’s you that’s stuck with that mind set?

For these “race hustlers”, like Ms
Bush, they always go after the low hanging fruit.
They use race as a catch all to shame white Americans, and prey on their guilt switch which the MSM is willing to push.
Our society has a consumer based economy, and the promise of profit is color blind as all Americans are important customers.
The Democrats use racist rhetoric to stoke the ugly embers of long ago fires, in an attempt to fuel anger and hatred in a congruous America of all peoples.

A single mom in he inner city could say the same thing, “I have had attempts on my life and I have too much work to do,” and “There are too many people that need help right now”. Does everyone deserve safety.
