Election 2020
Registered Dem charged after requesting ballot for dead wife
Larry Wiggins, 62, was charged with a 3rd-degree felony
With the election only 29 days away, the sunshine state has become a political battleground as both candidates try to swing the key state in their favor. But with many voters resorting to mail-in-ballots, fraud is inevitable.
A registered Democrat in Florida was arrested for allegedly requesting a mail-in-ballot for his wife, according to a local news report Friday via the Daily Caller.
But, the catch?
His wife has been dead for two years.
Larry Wiggins, 62, was charged with a 3rd-degree felony after authorities were alerted that the signature on his wife’s ballot request did not match the signature on her previous registration documents, according to WFLA.
Upon investigation, authorities discovered that his spouse was deceased.
Wiggins insisted he was simply testing the accuracy of the Florida voter system, the local outlet reported.
“I heard so much about ballots being sent in and people just having found them in different places,” Wiggins told WFLA. “I feel like I haven’t done anything wrong.
“I said well, let me just send it in and see what’s going to happen to see if they’re actually going to send a ballot for her to vote,” he continued.
Wiggins said that he never intended to vote twice and denied that he forged his late wife’s signature.
The 62-year-old was apprehended and charged in Manatee County, Florida, where over 500 mail-in votes are being processed each day, according to Michael Bennett, the supervisor of elections.
Wiggins was released on a $1,500 bond, according to the Daily Caller.

“Wiggins said that he never intended to vote twice and denied that he forged his late wife’s signature.”
Seriously? The form just signed itself?
We need much stiffer sentences for attempted voter fraud.
As a side note, Leo, I was THIS close to writing a letter to FOX a few months ago because I couldn’t take your defending the indefensible anymore. I hung on a little longer and watched your transformation from an angry democrat to a happy Trump supporter. Congratulations and welcome aboard.

He is guilty, period. He deserves and needs to be treated like the criminal he is. You don’t go up to a teller and demand all the cash in her drawer unless you are trying to rob the teller. Same with the ballot. Wrong is wrong. Crime is crime. One living person, one vote. I check to make sure my spouse ISN’T registered every year, along with my mother since they have both passed. I don’t TRY to register either of them because I have no desire to steal some one else’s vote by making it invalid.
