Psaki tells Americans to ‘be aware’ that higher gas prices is a possibility

Jen Psaki

The ever sympathetic Biden administration is warning Americans to prepare for higher gas prices. During a press conference, White House press secretary Jen Psaki admitted already high gas prices will likely climb even higher after Biden’s announcement of sanctions against Russia.

Multiple reporters asked Psaki about the burden of high gas prices because the sanctions target ”Russian oligarchs and certain banks and aim to cut off the country from western financing” reports National Review.

Germany also cancelled operation of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which was built to supply European nations with natural gas from Russia. The cancelled operation was meant to be punishment for Russia’s aggression towards Ukraine.

A reporter asked, “So, Americans should expect higher gasoline prices?” to which Psaki replied, “Yeah, energy prices, exactly that’s what we want the American public to be aware is a possibility.”

Biden announced the “swift and severe” sanctions less than 24 hours after Russian president Vladimir Putin declared two separatist regions in Ukraine’s eastern flank independent republics and Russian troops started deploying to occupy the zones under the auspices of “peacekeeping” writes National Review.

Another reporter asked, “When can we expect a more detailed explanation from the White House about how it would plan to bring down energy prices?”

Psaki replied, “A lot of what’s happening right now is sensitive. It includes a lot of conversations with foreign counterparts and other major large global suppliers. It also includes conversations we’re continuing to have with Congress and others about what steps may be at our disposal and the president is continuing to consider options.”

“Why should Americans feel that that is a cost they should have to bear and that should affect their lives and how much should they be prepared for this geopolitical crisis to impact their day to day lives?” another reporter asked.

Psaki stated penalizing Russia for violating Ukraine’s territorial integrity is about standing up for our “values” and “principles” as a nation while acknowledging that it will not be painless for Americans. She said Biden is in consultation with his national-security team to “leave no stone unturned” and “tap into the resources of global suppliers” to “reduce the impact on the American people.”

Gosh, Psaki, we had no idea. Who could possibly know that Biden’s ineptitude, destroying America’s Energy Independence, would wreak havoc at the gas pump?!

So if Biden wants to REALLY hurt Russia, he must STOP BUYING OIL from Putin’s Russia! Buying oil from Russia is supporting Russia and the Ukrainian invasion! We need to be oil independent again! Biden won’t do it because he’s a far left liberal. Biden is THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER!

The last I checked the USA is part of the globe and if we reactivated our own oil resources: we could supply our own needs and shutdown the dependency of others on Russian oil. If Putin can’t sell oil, he can’t fund his war!

Why rely on foreign governments when we have the ability here at home. Is Biden looking for another payday for himself and Hunter?
