Portland federal building property damage passes $2mil

Published

Over the last several months, Portland has arguably become the epicenter of destruction, violent riots and protests.

As a result of more than two months of near-nightly unrest, federal buildings in Oregon’s largest city suffered more than $2 million in damage since last summer.

To no surprise, the left-wing media is silent.

The cleanup efforts across five federal buildings have cost taxpayers a whopping $2.3 million, U.S. Attorney for Oregon Billy J. Williams told Oregon Live.

But, that number isn’t final. The total could continue to rise with repairs still in progress, Fox News reports.

Protesters gathered near the Mark O. Hatfield U.S. Courthouse in the city almost every night for weeks, clashing with police and counterprotesters. The nightly destruction almost always involved graffiti, broken windows, firecrackers and Molotov cocktails, according to Fox News.

Other damaged buildings include the Edith Green-Wendall Wyatt Federal Building, the Gus J. Solomon U.S. Courthouse, the Pioneer Courthouse and Portland’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building.

The city looks like a war zone.

So where is the mainstream media that was so vocal during the Capitol riot on January 6?

Why should the citizens have to keep paying for this damage when our elected officials will not lift a finger to stop these “mostly peaceful” protest. We are already paying the salaries of these officials that are doing NOTHING to stop it. Disgraceful! Recall them all!

Write up the petitions, post them for all to sign, as was done for Gavin Newsome. It works. Also working to recall Andy Cuomo.

It is their social policy to be ignorant. Not journalists, they act as a mob working a fabricated narrative to purposefully mislead and cause more unrest so a new government can move in with their radical Left policies. Deceptive media. People losing their lives, unrest unchecked. Businesses damaged, lives ruined, to advance a one party system.

Antifa and BLM are a marxist movement. All communist takeovers use race and class to justify their actions. Research this and see it’s real. Our 2nd ammendment was exactly for this. That is why a house resolution is being passed to know exactly who is armed and where they store their weapons. We are here. We were warned. Tight lips is all that will save us. Tight lips and bravery.

You can be sure the Democrats will bail them out at the tax payer’s expense no doubt. In my opinion, that crap has gone on way to long. They need to put a stop to that. The democrats turn their heads to all those BLM and Antifa thugs. We need to get all those career politicians out of office.

I live in the Portland area and it’s awful here. Leaders here say nothing against this terror. However, Danna Diaz, Superintendent of a public K-12 school district in Portland (Reynolds) recently published a letter to the thousands of students in the district about the Jan. 6 Capitol riots saying “Students, I stand with you as we realized the truth that if those who stormed into the US Capitol building looked like many of you or me, that people of color would have been treated another way, and the outcome would have been different. I stand with you in our truth that Black lives matter and until every adult knows this truth, there is no real justice.”

Diaz never spoke out about these awful riots in downtown Portland and surrounding areas over the last nine months and then she turned a non-racial event at the US Capitol into a racial event. These kinds of statements drive racial divide and tell children of color that they are victims. It’s disgusting and disgraceful.

Every elected official representing Portland and other war zone cities from rioters should be charged with domestic terrorism and removed from office, from the local level government up to national House and Senate. All of them should have called in national guard on day one and prosecuted all that were not peaceful to the full extent of the law to minimize damage and protect our people, instead of letting terrorist take over and terrorize American communities; then raise money to bail out the few arrested. All of them are responsible for letting that happen to us. Yes, that happened to everyone of us when it happened. We all pay to rebuild and it could happen on your street next.
