NYC Mayor-Elect Vows To Restore Anti-Crime Units Despite BLM Threats
Democrat New York City Mayor-elect Eric Adams has promised to bring back the city’s anti-crime units the day after the plan caused leaders of New York City’s Black Lives Matter group to threaten “riots” and “bloodshed”
Adams appeared on CNN on Thursday vowed to restore the anti-crime units despite the violent threats from the BLM leaders.
“I made it clear on the campaign trail: I’m going to put in place not the Anti-Crime Unit, I’m going to put in place a plainclothes gun unit,” Adams said, according to The New York Post. “This is what I’m going to do. That was my promise and I’m going to keep it.”
During a press conference later that day, Adams explained, “This city is not going to be a city of riots, it’s not going to be a city of burning.”
“This is going to be a city where we are going to be safe. We are going to have effective policing that is not heavy-handed. We’re going to have the backs of our police officers, we’re going to hold them accountable to do their job,” Adams said. He then discussed BLM, saying, “It’s ironic that at no time did that small fringe group talk about the gun violence that is destroying our city.”
The anti-crime units were disbanded last year in response to the Black Lives Matter riots and calls to “defund” police departments. The city then saw a spike in violent crime.
After a closed-door meeting between Adams and BLM leaders on Wednesday, the group threatened “riots” and “bloodshed” Adams restored the NYPD’s anti-crime units.
“If he thinks that they’re going to go back to the old ways of policing, then we are going to take to the streets again. There will be riots, there will be fire and there will be bloodshed because we believe in defending our people,” said Hawk Newsome, co-founder of Black Lives Matter of Greater New York.
“So there is no way that he is going to let some Gestapo come in here and harm our people,” Newsome told the New York Daily News. “We pray for peace but … prepare for the worst.”
Newsome’s sister added: “We will shut the city down. We will shut down City Hall, and we will give him hell and make it a nightmare.”

80% of all violent crime is committed by Blacks. Black Lives Matter is nothing more than a Black domestic terrorist/anarchist organization. If they don’t get their way, they’ll riot, loot, burn and kill. It’s been their successful M.O. since Fentanyl Floyd OD’d. NYC, Chicago, Minneapolis, LA,San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, etc., all those Democrat run SH cities are seething with Black violent crime and BLM couldn’t be happier.

So if they are making blatant threats like this, then why are these criminals still being allowed to walk free. They threatened a duly elected public official and all the upstanding citizens of that city that obviously have seen that defending the police does not work and are done with the lawlessness and chaos that BLM’s Marxist beliefs bring. So again, why are they not in cuffs? Why are they still not being labeled and put on the domestic terrorist list?
