NBA Coach Says Felt Like More Fans in the Audience, ‘We’re Counting Like the Republicans’
NBA playoff games were held over the weekend, and the Philadelphia 76ers held one of the games at their arena. Players and coaches were pleasantly surprised to find an increased number of fans in the audience, but 76ers coach Doc Rivers used it as an opportunity to take a shot at Republicans.
It was determined that roughly 11,000 fans attended the 76ers game against the Washington Wizards at the Wells Fargo Center for their Game 1 matchup. “I can’t believe that was 10,000, 11,000 [people]. There’s no way. I think we’re counting like the Republicans because it felt like 30,000 people in the stands. They were amazing” said Rivers.
“Let’s keep it going. It’s so nice to have that at home” Rivers continued. “You know, we got down early in the second quarter and in the beginning of the third and they never wavered” Rivers said of the fans. “That gives a team energy. I don’t think people understand how important that is” he added.
The 11,000, but “felt like 30,000 people in the stands” helped Philadelphia claim victory in a close game of 125-118. Game 2 will be played Wednesday, again at the Wells Fargo Center. We shall see if it’s the Republicans or Democrats that “count” the fans in the stand for Game 2.

Doc no one really cares about the NBA. I believe the golf tournament viewership this past weekend eclipsed all the NBA games combined. Even NHL did better. Go figure.

Democrats count fans like they count votes! I use to watch the NBA when they showcased their talents rather than their political views. Now I spend that time with my family building a strong unity bond. No time for those corporations that strive for division. I wonder if this coach strives for division among his players or does he strive for unity as a team???? My advice for this coach is coach your team and stay out of politics and perhaps you would count 30,000 fans at your games!

These fools keep digging deeper and deeper expecting fans to return. When you divide us you do not conquer us, we just find better ways to spend our money and our time. Seems like these high paid idiots will never learn. Hopefully their pay falls with their ratings. I will never watch the woke sports again. That includes the NFL, NBA and MLB.

I, like many of you, stopped watching many sports on TV and in person for one reason and one reason only; the sports no longer resemble “sports”. I know that sounds stupid but all I know is, when I watch a sport, especially a professional one; I spend half of the time watching these guys dance around the court or playing field doing some kind of antics that does the “look at me, look at me” for simply tackling the other player or dunking the ball. What? It’s not enough that you get paid a disgusting amount of money to play the sport; we now have to watch you act like a bunch of thugs fighting on the field or wasting time dancing around like a poor epileptic person having spasms trying to shower attention upon yourself. It seems like every game there is a bench emptying fight of some sort because you azzholes can’t show any respect for the game. Nowadays, you flagrantly flaunt the rules; Christ, traveling hasn’t been called in an NBA game in 20 years but you have to let them play playground rules so they can “wow” the audience with a rule breaking traveling dunk. Sorry, but I’m impressed when you can do it while following the rules, not breaking them and doing it. Sports has been ruined forever because of one thing and one thing only; a total disrespect of the game. So, Dear Doc Rivers, you just showed what an idiot you are for slamming more than 50% of your viewership; probably more because most Democrats are not sports players; they’re leeches, so your viewership is probably closer to 30% these days.
