New York actor and comedian Michael Rapaport posted a video to his Instagram on Tuesday showing an alleged shoplifter shamelessly walking out of a Manhattan Rite Aid.

“I can’t believe I’m seeing this s—t,” Rapaport said in the video. “This f—king guy just filled his two bags up with everything in Rite Aid, right here on 80th [Street] and First Avenue is walking down the street like s–t is Gucci. I was watching him the whole time.”

“Looking me in my face like ‘What’s good?’” Rapaport said. “My man just went Christmas shopping in January. He had the condoms, the shampoo.”
Rapaport wrote in the caption of the video that he would detail the incident in his podcast
“I Am Rapaport,”  he also tagged New York Mayor Eric Adams’ account.

“Duke just went CHRISTMAS SHOPPING at @riteaid,” Rapaport wrote. “I’m TRIPPING this happened in broad day like it was nothing.”

“New @iamrapaport discusses it all. I was just informed this Rite Aid is closing 2/15 because of this, leaving the workers JOBLESS,” Rapaport added.

The incident came shortly after the New York Police Department announced that shoplifting in the city had spiked to its highest level in nearly 30 years.

“The NYPD says it hasn’t seen levels like this since 1995, and elsewhere around the country, organized retail crime is ramping up,” CBS New York reported. “From Jan. 1 through Sept. 12, 2021, the NYPD says there were more than 26,000 complaints for shoplifting compared to the same time period in 2020, which was over 20,000.”
