LEO V. GERALDO: ‘Democrats are using this impeachment process for their 2022 campaign’

In a Thursday episode of America’s Newsroom, Leo Terrell and Geraldo Rivera got right down to a heated debate regarding the endless violence in democratic cities, Trump’s impeachment trial and the investigation into the Capitol riot.

“To use the summer violence and the lack of response by the democrats to what happened this past summer as a way of mitigating what happened January 6th in the Capitol, I’m not so sure that works,” Geraldo said.  

“I didn’t say that,” Hemmer interjected. 

“No one said that,” Leo added. “That’s a democratic talking point.”

When asked how long Portland is going to put up with the violence and mayhem, Terrell said “forever.”

“Forever. As long as there’s demoratic leadership in Portland. Forever, because the democrats will not put their base in jail. They’re not going to put Antifa, Black Lives Matter or socialist leftists in jail,” he said.

“Let’s be very clear about why we have an impeachment hearing going on in Washington D.C. Let’s be very very clear. The democrats hate Donald Trump. The democrats do not want Donald Trump to run for reelection, so they’re going to ignore Portland. They’re going to minimize Portland and they’re going to downplay all the violence, as you just articulated, Bill, regarding the cost and the expense in Portland and Seattle,” he warned.

“Isn’t it amazing that Kamala Harris bailed out criminals to go right back out in the streets to Minneapolis, but the democrats are going to downplay the violence, the murder, the arson in democratic cities.” 

“Hey Leo, are you downplaying what happened in the Capitol?” Geraldo asked. 

“Oh, that’s a good play. Let me answer that. No,” Leo said, “I just want consistency, Geraldo, that’s all I want and we’re not getting consistency.” 

Terrell urged that because Nancy Pelosi is in control of the investigation, we may never know the truth of what happened on January 6.

“Ever since January 6, there’s been a lid on the investigation and because Nancy Pelosi controls this, basically the Capitol Police, we’re not going to know,” he said.

“The democrats are using this for focus groups,” he added. “They’re using this impeachment process for their 2022 campaign.” 

“For the democrats to conclude that this was a conspiracy prior to January 6 means that Donald Trump was involved with the Proud Boys in the Oval Office planning this since December. That is ludicrous. I’m a lawyer  of 30 years. That is ludicrous. There’s no evidence.”
