Left Wing Group Tries To Shut Down Supreme Court Proceedings
A left-wing group called “ShutDownDC” attempted to shut down Supreme Court proceedings on Monday over worries that the Court would overturn Roe v. Wade, the decision that blocked states from banning abortion.
“On June 13, one of the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision days, we plan to blockade the streets around the Supreme Court to rise up for the transformative change that our communities need,” the group’s website states. “Right now our political system is in crisis. Times of crisis can either be opportunities to break through the inertia and win transformational change or they can be opportunities for the establishment to further entrench the status quo.”
Leftist protestors originally planned on breaking into the back of the Supreme Court building, and later tried to block the parking garage and nearby roads. The protestors failed, however, as their decision to post their plans online ahead of their attack resulted in a large police presence outside the building.
The incident comes a month after the Supreme Court’s majority opinion aiming to overturn Roe v. Wade was leaked to Politico.
In the draft, Justice Samuel Alito writes that “Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely—the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.”
“Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” Alito added. “Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division.”

So are the Democrats going to call this an “Insurrection”? Why aren’t they on tv calling for an investigation into this? I believe that this goes back to Schumer making threats. We better start a June Supreme Court Insurrection Committee. We’ll put 8 Republicans on it and 2 democrats! Absolute one sided justice bullshit!! If our Republican Tepresentatives and Senators don’t start raising holy hell to get attention pretty soon, they will be primaried when they come up for re-election.
