Late-Night Host Trevor Noah Deemed Himself ‘Cuomosexual’, Now Swallowing His Pride

Left-wing, anti-American late-night host Trevor Noah has been fawning over the now former Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo for the past year on his program. The South African native even went so far as to declare himself a “Cuomosexual.”

Even as Cuomo ran New York City into the ground during the height of the coronavirus pandemic, Noah was a fan. As stories of immoral nursing home deaths, allegations of sexual harassment and misusing federal funds for personal gain flooded the news headlines…Noah was still caught up in the bromance.

The love affair came to screeching halt only when Cuomo resigned, at which point Noah attempted to jump on the ‘oh yeah, Governors should not be behaving this way’ band; but it was too late, and Noah was mercilessly mocked. Rightfully so.

Quickly after Cuomo’s resignation, Noah tweeted “New York has successfully flattened the perv.” Oh, how quickly love fades. “Rather than the expected laughter, his tweet instead just sparked a flood of followers reminding him of his earlier declarations of devotion to the scandal-scarred gov” stated the New York Post.

The New York Post reported:

“This you?” asked Accuracy in Media, a site exposing media bias, one of many to share clips of “The Daily Show” host’s previous confessions.

One widely shared clip from April last year showed Noah, 37, calling Cuomo “the one governor who’s crushing it the most right now.”

“Yeah. People online are falling in love with him. And I’m not gonna lie. Those people include me. My Tinder profile now lists me as Cuomosexual,” Noah said.

Others re-shared an interview Noah gave Ellen DeGeneres the same month sharing his love.
“Everyone should be a Cuomosexual,” he told DeGeneres. “You should love a leader who engages the people and remembers that they’re serving the people.”

“Oh I like how quickly you turned against your crush,” one person teased the host, while another said, “We’re gonna file this under badly aged tweets…”

“Sit this one out, buddy,” another follower advised the host, while others told him, “You don’t get to slide from this that easy.”

Noah’s only saving grace was an attempt at humor. The host retweeted a clip from a March 2021 episode of The Daily Show in which he mocked himself while conceding the error of his ways.

In the clip from March 2nd, Noah is seen at a computer saying, “I’ll tell you, man, all those people who praised Cuomo so highly last year, whew – those people really don’t look so smart now” he said, while then shouting in a pretend off-camera moment, “delete the f—ing tapes!”
