The streets of Malibu are lined with ‘For Sale’ signs as the plethora of California’s problems are causing the rich and famous to flee. “Some are also said to be put off by a sharp rise in homelessness, with tents lining streets in front of multi-million-dollar mansions” according to The Sun UK.
What was once a bustling celebrity-filled playground of the rich and famous, is now a depressing site of overpriced closed stores. “In a trip to LA this week, we found exclusive shopping destination Rodeo Drive virtually empty. Posh restaurant The Ivy had few customers, while Robert De Niro’s former restaurant Ago, another A-list hang out, was boarded up” wrote The Sun.
One LA real estate agent David Kean confirmed the homelessness turning off celebs: “Celebrities are running away. Even though they live in Beverly Hills or Malibu, as soon as they leave their properties they pass homeless encampments. It’s the worst.”
Rampant homelessness is one thing, but COVID, a shutdown city and race riots aren’t helping either. “People are tired of being locked down,” “Entertainers can’t entertain and they can’t network – what’s keeping them here?” are complaints reported by The Sun. “People who can afford to go anywhere in the world, are going anywhere in the world” said Peter Lorimer who runs PLG Estates in Beverly Hills.
No need to stay in the wake of those suffering and losing their livelihood when they can take their millions and backwards liberal policies elsewhere. Publicist Cheri Kerr said celebs are “going to Nevada or Texas where taxes are less.” Tom Hanks and his wife have received citizenship in Greece, Pierce Brosnan is trading his Malibu mansion for Hawaii, director James Cameron is in New Zealand and the Hemsworth brothers are returning to Australia, according to The Sun.

The problem is they will inevitably take their liberal ideologies with them and elect into office the very same type of people that ruined the place they are fleeing from. I am all for helping the down and out but only if they are trying to help themselves. Far too many just want to live the life of handouts. The more you handout the you enable them and the more that will settle in for those hand outs.

So very true and if they continue getting re-elected the cities and states will continue on a downward trend and never recover. This is the same as those running these democratic cities/states. Their daft ideology is totally against our Constitutional values! The need for power and greed consumes them and they live for more with every thought they have, prime examples are Nancy Pelosi and Gavin Newsom. They pretend to work for the people but look at Nancy’s district it’s deteriorating and disgusting to say the least. Newsom says when you go out to eat you have to keep your mask on between bites, how ridiculous is that? The only way to save our country is to exile Doros and his ilk and vote Republican! If the Democrats win our values and our way of life is doomed and we’re going down the tubes just like Venezuela.
