A federal grand jury has indicted former Trump administration adviser Peter Navarro on two counts of contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena issued by the House January 6 committee, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Friday.

“Navarro, 72, is charged with one contempt count involving his refusal to appear for a deposition and another involving his refusal to produce documents, despite a subpoena from the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol,” the DOJ said in a press release. “The indictment was returned yesterday and unsealed today. Navarro is to make his initial appearance this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.”

The DOJ explains that “on Feb. 9, 2022, the Select Committee issued a subpoena to Navarro. The subpoena required him to appear and produce documents to the Select Committee on Feb. 23, 2022, and to appear for a deposition before the Select Committee on March 2, 2022. According to the indictment, Navarro refused to appear to give testimony as required by subpoena and refused to produce documents in compliance with a subpoena.”

“In its subpoena, the Select Committee said it had reason to believe that Navarro had information relevant to its investigation. Navarro, formerly an advisor to the President on various trade and manufacturing policies, has been a private citizen since departing the White House on Jan. 20, 2021,” the DOJ added.

Navarro claims that executive privilege exempts him from appearing before the House January 6 committee because he worked at the Trump White House. He has also said that the committee is illegitimate and is suing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi due to the committee’s activity. According to Fox News, Navarro called any prosecution of him “domestic terrorism.”

This is just more Democrat harassment of Trump administration officials. Now they’re moving their “monkey trial” hearing to ‘prime time television’ in an attempt to gin up support for the Democrat party in the November election. They’re hoping their shit sticks to the posts of this sham commission investigating the capital building trespassing the FBI warned Nancy Pelosi about on the days prior to January 6th due to FBI ‘plants’ that were also working hard to gin up support for an insurrection to bring down the Trump presidency in its final days.

Was it really necessary to shackle him? This is so reprehensible.

Why don’t close the release of the videos? We have subpoenaed Democrats many at times and they’ve ignored Republican subpoena. Why is it always one-sided. I wouldn’t have released them either no matter what was in them. Americans are sick and tired of the double standard. Also the citizens being held in prison without due process for over a year due to January 6th is against their constitutional rights and against most true Americans. We’re tired of the Democrats dictating what we can and cannot do. Hell they’re not even following our laws. CNN MSNBC propaganda news don’t mention anything about the Democrats not obeying our laws especially our immigration laws. All the Democrats are doing is pushing communism in our country and it’s time America puts a stop to it. God bless Navarro.
