FLAME WAR: Kevin McCarthy Trolls Dems Over Party’s Losses

Perhaps what Democrats need is a taste of their own medicine.   After weeks, months, and years of hearing democrats across the country mock President Trump, Republicans finally got their revenge Tuesday, served on a platter by none other than Kevin McCarthy. 

On Tuesday evening, Politico reporter John Bresnahan shared a photo of House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer posing with the slew of House Democrats who were unsuccessful in their reelection.

Republicans, it’s your time to shine. 

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) went all out in his response, posting a photo of himself strolling through the Capitol with no one else in sight.

Ouch. 

As of Wednesday December 9, republicans flipped 13 House seats for a net gain of 10; meanwhile, democrats only flipped three seats, according to BizPacReview. 

Indeed, the 2020 election was an undeniable victory for republicans. 

“[The] Republican party established a federal trifecta and with wins in the Minnesota Senate, Kentucky House, and Iowa Senate, the GOP now controls both state legislative chambers in 32 states,” Quorum reported in November. 

“According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, Republicans now control more state legislatures than at any point in U.S. history.”
