Elon Musk Endorses Republicans In Midterm Elections
On Monday, Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk endorsed the Republican party for the upcoming midterm elections.
Musk told “independent-minded voters” that they should vote for Republicans in Senate and House races because President Biden is a Democrat and “shared power” is better than one-party rule.
“To independent-minded voters,” Musk began. “Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic.”
“Hardcore Democrats or Republicans never vote for the other side, so independent voters are the ones who actually decide who’s in charge!” he added.

Earlier this year, Musk said that he has previously voted “overwhelmingly for Democrats” but that this year he would be voting for Republicans.
“And in fact, I have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats, historically. Overwhelmingly. Like I’m not sure, I might never have voted for a Republican, just to be clear. Now this election, I will,” he said at the time.
Shortly afterwards, Musk announced that he had voted for Mayra Flores, a Republican who beat Democrat Dan Sanchez in a special House of Representatives election in a historically Democratic district in Texas.
