‘Candidate Biden = Defendant Biden’ As Kenosha Shooter Files Defamation Claim Against Former VP

On Wednesday, Kenosha shooter attorney Lin Wood took to social media to say his client is suing none other than Joe Biden himself. “In addition to suing Facebook for being falsely accused of being a mass murderer, Kyle Rittenhouse has defamation claim against Joe Biden for falsely accusing him of being white supremacist & militia member responsible for violence in Kenosha” tweeted Wood. “Candidate Biden = Defendant Biden.”

Biz Pac Review writes due to Joe Biden running a “heavily edited campaign ad after Tuesday night’s presidential debate” may “cost him more than the fee paid to air the spot.” “The ad capitalized on a wholly dishonest assessment by the candidate and his allies in the media that President Trump refused to condemn white supremacy” explains Biz Pac. Additionally, “Included in the deceptive ad was a photograph of Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old who killed two protesters attacking him in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and wounding a third.”

Biden’s ad included a clip from the first presidential debate when moderator Chris Wallace asked President Trump “are you willing tonight to condemn white supremacists and militia groups and to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities as we saw in Kenosha and as we’ve seen in Portland?”

President Trump unambiguously said he would condemn such groups, Biden’s ad then goes into a montage of scenes from a right-wing rally in Charlottesville three years ago, but showcases an image of Rittenhouse “holding a rifle while on the ground” in Kenosha.

Attorney Lin Wood posted a follow-up tweet: “Formal demand for public retraction is being prepared for Biden/Harris Campaign on behalf of Kyle Rittenhouse. I also hereby demand that @JoeBiden immediately retract his false accusation that Kyle is a white supremacist & militia member responsible for violence in Kenosha.”
