Biden to Pursue Reparations Without Congress, Wants Free Tuition for Students at Historically Black Colleges
“We don’t want to wait on a study. We’re going to start acting now.”
Reparations are perhaps the most divisive policy idea in American politics. Advocates have spent years calling on lawmakers to assess how the government can provide financial compensation to the descendants of enslaved people.
Though legislation for reparations has failed countless times since its initial introduction in 1989, Joe Biden will move forward without Congress to ensure African Americans get their sought-after cash.
White House senior adviser Cedric Richmond said the Biden administration is moving forward, with or without Congress.
“We don’t want to wait on a study. We’re going to start acting now,” he told Axios.
“We have to start breaking down systemic racism and barriers that have held people of color back and specifically African Americans,” he said. “We have to do stuff now.”
“If you start talking about free college tuition to historically black colleges and universities and you start talking about free community college in Title I and all of those things, I think that you are well on your way,” he added.
Indeed, Joe Biden plans to pursue free college tuition for those students who attend historically black colleges, universities and community colleges as a form of slavery reparations, the Daily Caller reports.
Biden’s administration will move forward with policies to benefit African-Americans, as Congress weighs whether to create a commission to study the merits of reparations.
Reparation legislation was first introduced by Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich) in 1989, but never made it to fruition. The idea of direct-payments to compensate for slavery – nearly 200 years later – is extremely controversial for several reasons: how recipients would be selected, how much money would be given, where the budget would come from and how much it would actually cost.

If you open this door then you need to open the door of free college those of Irish heritage for being slaves in the coal mines. Or those OF Chinese decent for being slaves to the railroad. And while you are at it what about those of Polish origin who worked the meat processing plants in Chicago. Many or these people died owing everything they had to the owner of the mines, the railroads and slaughter houses. And what of those of native American heritage?
This is nothing but a BLM lazy money grab. And it is racist as well.

Wow time we start talking about Black Privledge. Seriously free tuition at Black Universities. So Black Colleges do allow Whites in so if I go to a Black U and am White will I get free tuition? Totally ridiculous. In the mean time border is being over run with illegals.. white and black will soon be the minority so stop talking about White prevledge.

More ‘free stuff’ for the people who have been the recipients of government welfare since LBJ’s 1965 Great Society Program commenced. Now it’s starting again with ‘free college’. And soon they’ll have to lower the admission standards because the average reading comprehension level of 12th grade Blacks (assuming they even graduate from high school) is at a 7th grade level. But hey, they can play basketball and according to BLM, the education system is ‘racist’ anyway. Just remember that if you ever get referred to a Black surgeon. To whose standards were they educated?

I am a white male but if I identify as a female I’m allowed into the females locker room, sports and showers. So, if I identify as black am I entitled to Black preparation. Herschel Walker stated preparation will cause separation. Wake up America they’re only doing it for votes

Who’s butt is he trying to kiss now? Does he know we are already over burden with bills and taxes and that we are not even out of covid mess. We have thousands of people pounding on our southern door so where is that money coming from to feed and doctor them. He can’t even feed our troops in DC protecting his sweet speaker ass. He best stop throwing our money around to pay for harm done 200 years ago. There is evil that lives all over and it seems today it is right in DC swamp area!

I believe the last poll I saw said 88% of Americans oppose reparations. JObama, typical Den/Socialist. Wave their magic wand, and POOF, money appears for all theirvasinine programs. When and off they find out it will cost, they either print more worthless paper money or tax the working class.question: why should 60% of Americans (white) and 17% of Americans (Hispanics),4% of Asian Americans and 2% of Native Americans pay for however many college-bound 13% of black Americans?
In a Republic, it is illegal to force citizens to buy goods or services from the government. Tuition is both a service and a good. Forcing us to pay for foreign abortions is a service. BTW, so is the Obama care penalty.
Important to know that black ‘leaders” have decided that every one of the 42 million black Americans should get $350,000. That’s $15 trillion. It means that every white man, woman and child (all 200 mill of us) would have to pay $75,000 each. Email your reps and say: NEVER!White resentment, Barry? He** yes!
