Biden Secret Service Expenses for 25 Trips to Delaware in 43 Weeks Cost Taxpayers $3 Million

As President, Joe Biden has done a lot of…spending time at home in Delaware. As a result, taxpayers have paid nearly $3 million to pay for the security alone. Biden has taken multiple weekend trips, as well as many midweek trips to his home in Delaware since he took office.

The information was recorded in Secret Service expense records and shared with The New York Post. Specifically, his security detail spent $1.96 million on 16 trips to his Delaware homes, the second being a beach house. An additional nine trips aren’t yet counted and will push the total to roughly $3 million. Taxpayers also paid for a wall, yes, a wall, to be built around his beach house in Delaware. The cost was reportedly just about $470,000.

The 25 trips result from only 43 weeks in office. The Post adds “the true price tag to taxpayers is higher because the Pentagon hasn’t released costs for Air Force One and Marine One helicopter trips.”

Details of the documented expenses show majority of the costs are to cover hotels and rental cars for Secret Service agents, as well as airfare and train tickets for them to travel to and from Delaware.

The $3 million for Biden’s 77 days visiting Delaware is already greater than the $2.4 million in Secret Service costs to protect Trump during the 99 days he spent at his Bedminster, NJ, golf course over the entire four years in office.

Biden “recently hosted at his Wilmington home Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) for legislative talks, but much of his weekends are believed to be spent relaxing with extended family members and his snappy young German shepherd,” writes The Post.

The Post adds the White House has not yet released visitor log information despite his recent trips home and points out the trips come as he focuses on global warming. Biden claims we are in a “climate crisis” that threatens the entire world’s future. Nonetheless, his carbon footprint is tremendous with his frequent travels.
