Bank of America Senior Execs Tell Young Staffers to ‘Dress Down’ as Amidst NYC Crime Surge

Although the leftwing media and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are in denial about the increasing wave of crime sprees in liberal cities, a recent message Bank of America executives sent to its staffers proves otherwise.

“Amid a surge in some New York City violent crimes, Wall Street bigwigs continue to encourage younger staffers to come into the office – but to do so with caution” reports The New York Post.

One specific example comes from Bank of America. Senior executives were reportedly so concerned about their employees, they felt compelled to encourage younger employees to “dress down” to attract less attention.

The Bank of America employees make their way to Bryant Park each day, a midtown Manhattan location that is not considered to be in a dangerous part of New York in the slightest; in fact, it is quite the opposite.

The executives “have told their staffers that dressing up, or wearing anything with a Bank of America logo, could make them a target” added the Post. One bank employee told On The Money he has been on high alert after he spotted an individual with a knife near his office.

As recently as November 28, the city had reported a 15 percent increase in felony assaults in only the previous 28 days compared to a year earlier. Murder rates have also increased 42 percent over the past two years.

An executive at another money management firm said they recently began carrying a Taser on his commute to his midtown office. Some companies such as Citibank offer employees private shuttles in order to avoid public transportation, and commuting in the dark; particularly after daylight-saving time ended last month.

Wall Street sources say they are having the same troubles as the midtown area. “Some people I work with have been accosted…I’d say it’s becoming frequent, if not common…there’s probably a dozen incidents that I saw, or have been involved in” said the source.
