The Texas student who allegedly opened fire at his high school, injuring four people, was released from jail on Thursday.

“The suspect, 18-year-old Timothy Simpkins, was later taken into custody on three counts of aggravated assault with a gun,” WFAA reported. “Simpkins was released on bond from Tarrant County Jail on Thursday morning, which was set at $75,000. The bond included several conditions: drug and alcohol testing, GPS monitoring and 24-hour home confinement, according to orders from Tarrant County Magistrate Judge Brooke Panuthos.”

The shooting began after Simpkins allegedly was in a fight with another student that escalated to Simpkins drawing a gun on Wednesday.

“The fight was broken up and the two students calmed down, but then Simpkins pulled out a firearm from his orange backpack and fired several shots that struck three people, according to an arrest warrant Thursday,” the New York Post reported. “Calvin Pettitt, a 25-year-old English teacher who jumped in to break up the fight, was shot in the back, suffering broken ribs and a collapsed lung, according to police and his family.”

Police said that a 15-year-old boy was in critical condition, and a teenage girl was grazed by a bullet and has been discharged from the hospital. The fourth victim was a pregnant woman who was injured in a fall during the shooting and received medical care on scene.

Sounds like a serious need for home schooling.

My kids would be at home doing their lessons.

How many more need to be shot before this kid is kept in custody?

Would the Judge hand down the same order if his children were shot?

      F**k that Judge.

It’s outrageous that they let him out! Whether there was bullying or not will be sorted out later. The answer should NEVER be to bring a loaded firearm to school and shoot people. This is ridiculous. The bail should have been much higher.
No students with loaded firearms in school, ever!!

This is the absolute definition of ridiculousness!! Wtf?!? How is he out on bail?!? And bond was $75,000?!? No way this is right or justice?!? No matter what provoked him, bringing a gun on school property should be enough to keep him there!! This is insane!!
