Actress Susan Sarandon Posts Comparison of NYPD officers at Slain Detectives’ Funeral to ‘Fascism’
Actress and activist Susan Sarandon is a disgusting human being. She shared a post on Twitter comparing the gathering of thousands of policemen and women who came together to honor murdered NYPD Detective Jason Rivera to fascists.
The anti-police vitriol stemming from the left’s politicians and “celebrities” is promulgating the snowball of hate. Sarandon’s post included a photograph of the sea of officers with the caption “I’m gonna tell my kids this is what fascism looks like.”
Sarandon’s tweet added the words “so, if all these cops weren’t needed for CRIME that day, doesn’t that mean they aren’t needed ANY day?” Then the hashtag #abolishthepolice was strewn across the photo of the police.
The New York Post reports it is unclear if Sarandon added the words herself or reposted one previously made. Sarandon, a Bernie Sanders supporter, has been an outspoken critic of law enforcement and has participated in Black Lives Matter protests.
The Post writes there have been some highly public posts after Detective Rivera’s funeral. “A Brooklyn math teacher drew flak for his post on Instagram that appeared to encourage violence against cops – a message he claims was misconstrued – while Manhattan actress Jacqueline Guzman was canned from her job for complaining online about street closures related to Rivera’s funeral.”
Last month Sarandon signed a letter supporting Harry Potter actress Emma Watson after she shared a Palestinian solidarity post.

i used to like Sarandon but she disgusts me now! how did these dopes get to this point where they hate this country – yes they hate this country and the cops. I really wish the cops wouldn’t go running when these ingrates need them. these hollyweirdos are just that weird, angry bitter old grumps and biddies, the young ones are young grumps and biddies. for 5 years i have not watched any movies these people have been in – they may be able to “act” but that’s about it. as a human being they suck

Sarandon’s comment just shows her utter lack of any intellect. The police who attended that funeral were just a fraction of the total number of NYC cops; i.e, 36,000 of them. So, her comment is just stupid, it lacks any sort of basis. She also shows her lack of any kind of forethought; does she really think she would have the life she has if she was living in China because this is what she seems to support. It’s stunning to me that the world, for some reason, equates money or celebrity status, to intellect. These days, money seems to signal stupidity. I mean, if you really analyze how these people have made such vast amount so money; it’s not their intellect that was the basis of their asset accumulation but the power of the internet. Zuckerberg stole an idea and was successful only because he was a computer nerd, and could write the code for the website himself, NOTHING ELSE. Bezos, Amanzon, an internet marketplace; 1,000’s of people had the same idea; he was just able to get the website up and running first. Should he become a billionaire over it? I don’t know but he’s certainly NOT an intellect because of it. I could go on but you get the point. QUIT giving these people any sort of intellect status.

What a hateful woman you are! Every one of those police officer have love a love for their their fellow policemen that you probably have never experienced. I think you need the love of God in your life so that you can understand that you are heartless. I suggest you make a public apology to all police officers because God forbid if you ever need one they are there for you. I’m so disappointed because I have always liked Susan as a great actress. I can’t respect anyone that is that unsympathetic to a family grieving the death of a loved one. Police are a family unlike actors who think they are above everyone else. Those police were there to show support for the family that people like Susan mock and disrespect.
