Aaron Rodgers Conducts Social Distanced Interview, Followed by Warm Embrace with Reporter

After Saturday’s NFL game, Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers conducted an emotional interview with Fox sideline reporter Erin Andrews. Rodgers had made sure to conduct a covid-friendly interview and maintain social distancing.

“I got to sit behind a legend for three years and see what greatness looked like first hand. That’s an experience that changed my life forever” said Rodgers over breaking the record previously held by Brett Favre. His interview was conducted with a headset since he was not close enough to speak with Andrews directly into the microphone.

However, once the meticulously conducted pandemic-approved interview was finished, Rodgers immediately removes his headset and b-lines it to Andrews for a big high five and hug. Maskless. Fox’s cameras were still rolling, causing many on social media to point out the hypocritical actions.

Sports Illustrated reports “It’s unclear at this point whether Rodgers is vaccinated, but all learned quite emphatically in early November that, at that point, he was not.”

Rodgers has created headlines over his vaccination stance. Back in August, Rodgers told reporters he was ‘immunized’ against COVID-19. After contracting COVID-19 in November, a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport suggested he was actually unvaccinated. He later went on The Pat McAfee Show to explain that he’d tried an alternative treatment because, as he said, he was allergic to an ingredient in two of the three major vaccines.”
