Top podcaster Joe Rogan, host of the “Joe Rogan Experience,” made light of what was meant as an insult to him coming from “The View” host Joy Behar.
According to Fox News, Behar quipped, “We went from Walter Kronkite, basically, to this guy Joe Rogan, who believes in dragons.”
Joe Rogan posted the story to his X feed, writing “That’s my new official X description,” and changing his bio on X to “Dragon Believer.” Rogan also posted a clip of conversation he had on his podcast when he recalled past guest adventurer Forrest Galante’s mention of the theory.
Fox News quoted Rogan discussing the topic saying, “It’s so possible that something that flew like a pterodactyl, like we think of pterodactyls as being like bat wings, maybe they had feathers, maybe that was a gigant [sic] predatory bird and maybe some of those things looked like dragons.”
“Think of all these different cultures, ancient, medieval Europe, China, Japan, all of them had dragons, there’s so many dragons, it might have been a real thing, and I think most of them didn’t have dragons that could spit fire either, I think that was like Hollywood movie Godzilla type deal.”
Rogan poking fun at “The View’s” attempt to diss him shows why he is so popular as he didn’t let them get under his skin. Rogan is known for covering a wide array of topics on his podcast including unusual theories, and he’s spoken about the theory of dragons a number of times, according to Fox News.
The topic came up on the widely criticized talk show when co-host Whoopi Goldberg began discussing a recent poll suggesting that many young Americans are getting their news from right-of-center social media influencers. Co-host Sara Haines jumped in with a “PSA” telling viewers to “triple-check” news that really makes them angry.
“I think that’s why people like our show,” Behar replied. “Because they know that we are checked by ABC News.
