A formal lab test of the white substance found in the West Wing over the Fourth of July holiday has confirmed that it is, most certainly, cocaine.
The substance was found Sunday night in a small zippered bag and triggered a brief evacuation.
“It is unclear how long the bag was in the White House. The blurry timeline and number of people who walk through the area where the cocaine was found could make it difficult to determine who was responsible for the substance,” NBC News reports.
The Secret Service is currently reviewing camera footage and visitor logs to determine how the bag of drugs found its way into the West Wing.
The cocaine was found by a routine patrol.
President Biden and his family were at Camp David at the time of the bag’s discovery.
