During a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre downplayed President Biden’s pattern of falling down in response to reporters asking questions about a recent incident in which the 80-year-old president tripped and fell during a graduation ceremony.
The incident occurred on Thursday when Biden fell during the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony at Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs.

The incident was one of many major falls that the 80-year-old president has had, including falling down the stairs of Air Force One on numerous occasions.
Jean-Pierre was asked about the incident during Tuesday’s press briefing when a reporter asked if Biden’s advance staffing – which are the individuals responsible for setting up the president’s events – are being reviewed.
“Here’s the thing: We are not,” Jean-Pierre responded. “Things happen. Other presidents have had similar situations, as you know, and I’m sure you’ve reported on the last president who’s had a similar situation.”
“And so, look, things happen,” she said before leaving the room. “This is a president that delivers and will continue to deliver for the American people, and that’s what he cares about.”
