On Thursday, a group of about 400 individuals stormed the Tennessee capitol building in Nashville to protest for gun control legislation after the mass shooting by a woman, who identified as a transgender male, at a Christian elementary school earlier this week.
The protesters gathered at around 8:00 a.m. before storming into the capitol building and screaming, “No action, no peace!” and “What do we want? Gun control! When do we want it? Now!”
Lawmakers were protected from the rioters by Capitol Police and escorted away until the crowd had mostly left the Capitol building at around 1:00 p.m.

On Monday, a 28-year-old woman, who identified as a trangender male, shot up Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. She killed six people, including three children, before being shot and killed by police.
Police say the shooting was a “targeted attack” and that the shooter was a former student of the private Christian school. The attack also took place just days before a planned “Day of Vengeance” by transgender activists in Washington, D.C., for March 31-April 2 which had been raising money for firearm training for trans individuals.
